Corel Painter 8 Technical Information

Brushes:

1)     If you create custom brushes and wish to share them with other users, you must provide them with the .xml file, the .jpeg file (if it is a captured dab brush only), the .nib file, and the .stk file. For example, if you wish to share the Pencil variant, you must provide users with the Pencil.xml file, Pencil.jpg (if it is a captured dab brush only), Pencil.nib, and Pencil.stk.

2)     If a brush preview cannot be generated in less than 15 seconds, a red X will appear on the preview pane of the Brush Creator.

3)     When using randomizing and transposing Captured Dab brushes, you may encounter a jpeg decoding error.

4)     Corel Painter 8 brushes are not compatible with previous versions of Corel Painter.

Digital Water Color:

1)     Mac OS 9 Users Only: If your brush strokes begin to paint with black (if black is not your currently selected color), undo the brush stroke, save your file, and restart Corel Painter 8.

2)     When using Digital Water Color if you do not want your stroke to diffuse the strokes underneath, you must dry the canvas or layer between strokes.

Memory:
